The OWBN Hour of Power is the funniest shit I have ever heard.

So I sent in my background/application for the online tabletop game over at http://www.onlinetabletop.com. I’ve never played an RPG via message board, but I know the guy who is running it (and if you’re smart you’ll realize that im hosting it on this server) so I figured I’d give it a shot.

Be it since its online it wont take up a chunk of my time, and I wont have to dedicate hours upon hours preparing for it. I’m curious how its going to be ran, but thats half the fun.

I’ve Uploaded the PDF of my background so you all can take a look at it (and so I wont lose it). Feel free to join, but don’t get discouraged if they reject your background.

Our beloved is (as I type this) on his way down to partake in some RPG action.
Yes boys and girls. We have HAM radio licenses, and we play RPG games with other geeks. But we’re high society geeks (one pharmacist, one dentist, one geneticist, and now one programmer + plus a bunch of other college kids).. Okay, that doesnt make it any better.
we rule!

Friday: Got sucked into playing this fundraiser LARP game for a friend of mine who’s trying to raise money to pay for a convention spot. For 1 dollar you got a d6 worth of xp.. I dropped 30 bucks and played this uber ass Technocrat (i got 106 xp!). Eric played my Hit-Mark V would could do like 10 points of agg damage a round. Yeah, geeky rpg crap, i know.. Rest of game is sunday.. We are playing MiB (Agent J and Agent Smith).. Im a white agent J and eric is a cybernetic Agent Smith.. Ah well.. For those larp tards, I dumped all of my XP into backgrounds.. We have atomic weapons, can launch satelite attacks, and eric has 2 plasma cannons…. Oh, and I have mind-4 and Forces/Matter = 3, Prime = 2

Saturday: Worked for most of the day getting netbooting working.. Im still sorta working on the master image.. I keep on adding shit to it as the day goes on (that I realize that im missing, like vim and screen).. Slow going but eh. Did something, but cant remember it.. Probably just sat here on the computer..

Today: Gotz me some turntables! w00t! Actually the’re ‘s that he’s letting me borrow.. I got everything hooked up, but realize that I dont have:

a) Those large phono adaptor -> rca plug to plug the outputs into my amp.. But I have it coming out of another output into the amp, so no biggie
b) Friggin headphones with the BIG plug.. I’ll just go and buy some headphones tomorrow…. Heh, I managed to do one mix by just turning the volume all the way down and listening for the dead spots coming from the record where the bass would be.. I managed to hit it pretty damn close….. No headphones suck.

Going to the LARP game tonight to see how many people eric and I can whack before we get whacked ourselves..
Found out there is a record store in manteca.. Might go there sometime to see what records they have… Still thinking about getting those Technic cd/mp3 decks.. But the’re 1000 a piece.. Gotta see how good I get first..

Even though our party is ghetto and fucked up, we always seem to get out of binds with the greatest of ease.
