Ugh, stressful.
My best friends wife (who is also my friend) is pregnant. This weekend she got diagnosed with HELLP Syndrome and needed an emergency C-Section. Fortunately both her and the baby are doing just fine (even though the baby was a bit premature).
Just stressful for everyone involved. I dont think I got much sleep last night, and I know he didn’t get any sleep last night. However things started to calm down this morning as the baby and the mother started to stabilize and things began to smooth out.
I seriously need a drink once they are both out of the woods.
This pic hardly does it justice

I love it when someone brings in a fist of new prescriptions, and starts off their conversation with “OK, Heres what happened”..
Usually what follows is some string of bullshit as to how their pain pills got lost/stolen/eaten/blown-up.. Usually I ask “Oh, so you need your blood pressure medication too?” to which they say “Oh no, only my pain pills got stolen/lost/etc”.. I just tune it out now.. Ive heard it all.
Pharmacy analogy of the day:
People always ask me if hydrocodone (in vicodin/lortab) is the same as codeine because of some “allergy” of upset stomach.. I usually say that they are different in that case (but in the case where someone has a real allergy, I tell them that they are the same and to not take it).. People dont understand the relationship between the two with the parent compound (morphine).. So my boss’ son Jeff came up with this:
“Codeine and Hydrocodone have the same momma, but different baby-daddies”…
